Does anyone know what Prince Andrew actually does? He is almost never in the news and I assume is paid very well by the tax-payer for doing, er, nothing.

The press dubbed him "air miles Andy" a few years ago as he ran up such huge expenses flying from one golf resort to another. As for him being a Trade Envoy, I think he gave that up a couple of years ago.

In 2013 he carried out a total of 473 engagements.
He works full time. Whether you think there's any value in his work is another matter.
