Whether he needs a left back depends on whether he intends to keep Evra or not, because although he's out of contract he doesn't want to leave but will only sign a new deal if he's assured of playing. Luke Shaw would be a nice signing but rumour has it he favours a move to Chelsea.

One top quality centre back is essential but I wouldn't say they need 2, Jones will come good in that position (he's suffered from not having a settled position and not getting a proper run in the team).

Assuming Rafael is over his injury problems then right back isn't a major issue.

I disagree on the need for midfielders. Sure it'd be nice to bring one or two in but it isn't necessary. If he recalls Anderson and gets rid of Carrick then Anderson and Cleverly is the midfield pair I'd like to see (with Mata and Fellaini as back up), with Zaha on the right and Januzaj on the left, then you've got other options with Young and Valencia if he LVG can get them back to their best, and there's other options with the likes of Jesse Lingard.

Up front, I would get rid of RVP (although I don't see that happening) and perm any 2 from Rooney, Welbeck and Chicarito with Wilson another option to ease into the senior fold.

The likes of Nani and Macheda need to be offloaded.

Even if you disagree with me and feel that several signings are required, what I say about LVG not needing money, stands, all your multi million pound superstars started out costing nothing, you don't need to spend huge to have top quality players, the need for money is a myth.
