"Except I don't think a society like that has ever existed."
You have got the wrong end of the stick. CockneyGeeser mentions "A society where the wealth is MORE evenly spread around.
If you think that there has never been a society anywhere that had the wealth more evenly spread around, then you need to travel more.

"It is perfectly possible to be against welfare scroungers and corporate scroungers at the same time. There is no logical disconnect."
I know.
But the current government hasn't done anything in particular to cut back on corporate scroungers. Hardly surprising given the Tory part is largely funded by the finance sector.

Would I lie to you Max?????
It is also worth pointing out that the ?2billion of taxpayers' money that Vince Cable and Osborne have pissed away is twice as much as the government's own figures for the total amount of benefit fraud per year.
IF only we heard as much about corporate scroungers in the tabloids as we do about benefit scroungers, people might have a more balanced view about the relative losses to the country's income.

"Labour's plan to soak the rich until the pips squeak does not work, never has, never will"
The current Labour party has no plans to "soak the rich until the pips squeak".

"You can have a society where the wealth is more evenly spread around."
The above isn't utopia. It's preferable. It's a fairer society and everybody can have a good life. I can't see how having obscene wealth and people having to use food banks in the same country as being utopian. It would only be utopia for the rich.
By the way one man's utopia is another man's hell. So utopia is personal to the individual.

You need to think a little more before posting.
No-one is saying that there are "utopias", merely that there are countries which have more income equality than the UK e.g. Scandinavian countries, France.

Rather than throwing around unsubstantiated subjective opinions, give me one example of the current Labour party or indeed, the previous Labour government's desire to.....
