There will never be a 'right time' to buy a piece of kit with new technology.Eventually,just as you thought it's the right time to buy it,you can be sure there will be something else better.

It's remarkable technology, but with more and more people watching TV shows, movies and porn on handheld devices with small screens it's probably overkill for anything except cinema releases. Clarity isn't the same thing as quality anyway, if it was no-one would ever use diffusion or shallow focus.

I'm still more interested in bit depth than resolution. Better colour , more shadow and highlight information are what really sells an image to me.

Remember not that long ago we were all watching VHS,worse still,2nd or 3rd generation copy of VHS tapes!
