"Didn't you assume that people in TV/media take cocaine anyway?"
Just because someone takes drugs that doesn't mean it's the norm or everyone's doing it. Lots of people take cocaine from all walks of life but before the revelations did you really think Nigella took illegal drugs. I didn't and didn't assume she did either.
Essex Lad if you think Nigella should air her dirty laundry in public when she didn't have to. That's fine by me.

David - I entirely agree with you that someone ought to have "spotted" the
spending of the Grillo Sisters. Point is - finally they did (though you and me,
being not quite so wealthy, might have spotted it sooner). That's why the
Sisters were on trial.....I fully agree that any Crown witness must expect in a
case like this to be cross-examined for as long as it takes....but if you think
the trial has been all about the Grillo Sisters and not totally dominated by
media sneers at a witness then we have problems....
NOW it comes to light that Nigella`s husband - lets face it, one of the greatest
PR/advertising brains in Britain, if not the greatest - was using throughout the
case the same P.R. firm to plant stories about his wife in the Press AS THE
GRILLO SISTERS ie both a key Crown witness and the two defendants had the
same P.R. firm working together to blacken Ms Lawson`s name. Clearly,
bringing up the drugs by the sisters was part of a carefully planned strategy.
Finally the idiots at Scotland Yard want to waste British taxpayers money on
investigating Ms Lawson`s drug habits because of the media tosh.....it is not
the police`s job to interpret the law, yet any criminal lawyer knows that the
police have a hopeless case since a drugs offence requires possession or
current intent to supply and past use by a citizen has no validity in law.....
other than to besmirch their character, which it has done in Nigella`s case.
I might finally add, all this media hype is based on ALLEGATIONS, a posh
word for gossip....none of it is proved !!

"but if you think

You have problems, you mean. Nigella Lawson is famous. This is why so much emphasis was placed on her appearances. The Grillo sisters were pilloried both in the courtroom, but also in the press. If you think Nigella Lawson was the only person to be criticised in this trial then "we have problems".
"NOW it comes to light that Nigella`s husband - lets face it, one of the greatest

Your implication that the Grillo sisters and Saatchi got together to blacken Nigella Lawson's name is farcical. It was Saatchi who promised to fuck over the Grillo sisters when he found out about the expenditure. According to the Mail, ('it's always correct, isn't it?) Saatchi is considering bringing a civil case against the Grillos to get the money back.
"Finally the idiots at Scotland Yard want to waste British taxpayers money on

This is incorrect. The police have no plans to investigate Nigella Lawson's drug use unless new evidence emerges.

Actually they do. You may have posted this before Scotland Yard made the announcement that they intend to review the evidence with a view to charging Nigella ? if this is the case then I apologise for correcting you.

Indeed I did. This is obviously a case of the police changing tack.
Merry Xmas to you!

What Nigella needs is a change of social circles. Instead of surrounding herself with people as rich as herself or an abusive 70 year old husband, she needs a younger man in her life, someone about my age, who has no money to speak of and who idolises her and her body for who she is rather than how she looks on his arm or her bank details.
I think a young stud to regularly service her in every hole would do her the world of good. I call dibs.
