From what I gather, Nigel Farage is something of a twat, and that, sadly, is why UKIP will fail to make as much of an impact as it could. Anyone with talent in UKIP is seen by him as a threat and rooted out. Geoffrey Bloom is a personal friend, and he fixed the selection process to make sure he would be the UKIP MEP candidate for Yorkshire. QED.

Problem is, for all of us, that we have a political class only interested in serving themselves. Reading PPE at Oxford or going to Harvard Business School might look good on a CV but is useless preparation for dealing with real people's problems..what is sad is I was at a board meeting for a large charity last night and they all thought everying would be hunky dory again as soon as Yvette Cooper becomes PM....ignorant numpties think Labour is for the working classes....ha ha ha ha ha etc
