Can we ban cigarettes instead? Lads mags don't kill thousands every year...

I think tampons have always been openly on sale. Can't see many women sidling up to the counter and then asking for a tube of toothpaste when a man is serving.
Condoms have been on sale in pub lavatories for as long as I've been going into pubs and not that long ago barbers would ask "Something for the weekend, sir?"
I'd be happy never to see another advert for women's sanitary products on telly. I blame Claire Rayner for starting it all with those advert for bloody wings.
As for banning lads' mags, do they also want to ban mags like Heat and Closer which often have pictures of celebrity women in bikinis? Or what about gay mags? Gay Times and Attitude often have pics of muscular men on the cover. I'd be offended by them if I didn't have the body of a Greek god myself...

Its an infringement of my rights to deny me access to lads mags.
If staff don;t want to handle such things as they may feel harrassed and tainted by printed materials with images of semi clad girls on then you employ or make use of a member of staff who can
Its an infringement of the models rights who agree to do pics that appear in those mags.
These stupid things can be beaten and thrown out of court easily if people just open their mouths and voice objection but given the apathy of a lot of people I can see this stupid rule being mandated
It makes me puke that so much energy is put into banning what essentially is a bit of tittilation when we have far more pressing concerns in the word that need dealing with.

I am all for banning lads mags. Hate the bloody things ! I miss those old
days when a top shelf was laden with filth like Mayfair/Razzle/Men Only
and tons of David Sullivan mags.....plenty of pussy to gloat over, none of
these teasing fake-titted topless-only Brit babes hiding their cunts but
real wanking material.......OK OK....I`ll calm down and take a valium....
but seriously, I have never liked their softish/topless only/fashion mixed
with tits approach. I like a porn mag to be a porn mag ! Trouble is the
people who want to ban lads mags would only move on to stronger porn.
That's the way these censorious sods operate.

Oh yeah Frank. Im down wit that homie but you'd get some odd looks whipping them mags out for a ricky butchers on the tube.
I agree the TITilation of those mags is entry level to the harder stuff. Before that it was a pretty face and tits of page 3 before moving up to the legs wide open and spreading the pink.
Its only a matter of time before you want to see the real rude stuff usually of the same girl being dp'ed with a beaming smile on her face, several streams of jizz rolling down her face
...Aaah the good old days

I doubt they will go as far as banning them, a compromise will probably be struck and they'll either have to sell them in a sealed bag of just put them on the top shelf like porno mags. Maybe nothing will happen. People have pushed for this before and it never led to any chances in the past.

One magazine I think they should consider banning is 'Bizarre'. That is full of really horrific photos of mutilation and just about everything else you can think of. Put that on the top shelf or sell it in a sealed bag. That is more disturbing than a Lads Mag could ever be.

I guess any official person in society would feel the need to condemn Lads Lags if asked, would be hard for them to say they are good things. I've always been amazed that there are so many, and that they all stay in business. They used be just monthly magazines, now you have numerous monthly's and a couple of weeklies. The market is flooded with them yet none seem to ever go out of business. Shows how hugely popular they are.

I think it is political correctness gone mad. If some staff in shops shouldn't have to handle Lads Mags because they don't want to, does that mean vegetarians who work in supermarkets shouldn't have to handle meat, tee-totallers working there shouldn't have to handle alcohol? How about non-smokers who work in supermarkets handling cigarettes. The list goes on.

They`re not a porn mag though I suppose their the guys equivilent of womens own and shit, with articles on mens health and grooming amongst other things. I stopped buying them when they kept shoving Jordan and the other steg, the one thats doing body building. They helped keep them in the public eye when the majority of blokes seem to think those two are hounds.
