I might be wrong but I think 7 hours were set aside for Thatcher tributes in the House of COmmons. Not sure how much was actually used.

It was a great relief to watch Glendale actually speak some truth during that farce.

I saw the coffin go through the City, vast crowds there and I saw no demonstrations. Whether people liked her or hated her she was very significant and she changed the nation and politics forever. Lots of armed Police on rooftops and what looked like SAS guys on the roof of St Pauls. I think it was a nice do, something us Brits do very well.

I also saw the snipers on the rooftop of St.Pauls as i was standing opposite the steps of the cathedral, i didnt see any protestors anywhere near St.Pauls,.
But just to set the record straight i was no fan of Maggie Thatchers i was merely there to film an event, but there is no way i would show dis-respect at a funeral and there were plenty of others there filming and taking photos who were also no great fans of Maggie, but on the day you do the decent thing..

Loath as I am to admit but you are correct but Spider, it was Macmillan not Churchill who got the 45 minutes.
