A Political Disaster

Well there must be someone out there, possibly family, who loved her so to those people my sympathies.
From a political point of view she was a complete disaster. And for the 18 years or so she was in power, like many, I was ashamed to be British.
My favourite Thatcher quote was
"Nobody would remember the Good Samaritan if he had only good intentions. He had money as well."
This summed up Thatcher and the entire Tory party that we have in power now. If you have money, you are somebody: if you are poor, you are a useless piece of contemptible shit.

And yet so many of her policies were adopted by Labour...

Yeah right.
Run along now. Do your homework. If you come back with a post that is worth reading, I will respond.
Otherwise, you will just have to day dream about me for your kicks! !wink!

she wasn't in power for eighteen years (there's something to be grateful for), the tories were.
i just hope that the millions who suffered because of her actions are standing behind the gates of heaven to see the moment when God says 'your names not on the list you're not coming in. There's the escalator down, don't keep him waiting, I hear he's got something special lined up, your friend ronnie will be able to tell you about it, if he still can'.
i may be happier on the day diego maradona goes but who knows.

You are dead right. It wasn't 18 years in power. Thanks for the correction.
As someone brought up in a mining community in the North East, I doubt if there will be too many tears shed at the news.

Complete disaster? Really?
We weren't all brought up in a mining community in the North East.
The British Disease anyone?
