A lot of good names being mentioned. I'd like to add Skin from Skunk Anansie to the mix. She has an amazing vocal range and a great stage presence.

Ian Dury from Blockheads fame,
Not a great singer by any means, but one of the best, if not thee best wordsmiths in the business. A great stage presence too.
