No ones disputing the fact they can go on the housing list it's just as the original poster said the prospect that they may be placed on the top of the housing list.

?25K for a sergeant with 19 years service. He's having a laugh....my point is social housing is for those on the minimum wage, not working for whatever reason etc. Where I live ?25k a year is well above the average wage.

You obviously don't understand what I wrote. 25k for being availlable 24/7 46 weeks a year. Not a 40 hour week as in blue collar industrial jobs.
Therefore 25k is absolute shyte pay and should be 75k if you pay them for every hour of every day. But, we all know that will never happen because wankers and metrosexual arseholes will deny the forces what they are actually worth.

As a matter of fact, we had once on the forum here people putting a left wing slant on the Nazis. But these were people from the American right who didn't want the notion of "the political right" tainted by Nazism, so they were trying to explain it to everyone else as a form of socialism. I had my chin on the floor for quite a while after that...

I was driving through east London yesterday and was DISGUSTED how Hackney council doesnt give its council estates at least a lick of paint to make it look less of an eye sore.
All I saw was loads of smashed windows to buildings that would describe to a T the strife and turmoil of the poor in the inner city. This is the place where crime is born. Its no wonder we have such a problem if the whole damn place looks like a ghetto

The problem is that the only people who have a realistic chance of being in social housing are the kind of dregs you wouldn't want anywhere.

Very true Terry, i grew up in Canningtown, West Ham East London...the government created the ghetto's & yes it was a rough place which was high in crime but the people there would give you the shirts off their back.
It is true you didn't shit on your own doorstep & believe it or not most people are happy there, under the new polices people living in Newham will be displaced from their families & friends under their social cleansing policies forcing people out of their homes.
Who the fuck wants to be shifted to Stoke (nothing against Stoke or its people), people lived in the Stratford area for years in shitty conditions & when the olympics was hosted there it destroyed the people living there.
For many years they lived in bad conditions & when it was tarted up they all get displaced...where is the Government loyalty in its people.
This Government needs to be outed, me like a silly bastard even voted Con...egg on my face now but lesson learned.
Governments have always created ghetto's to shift blame a bit like other countries do & always will.
