And if somehow it appears that the police did falsify the story of what happened, you can bet the government will exert whatever pressure they can to make sure that their careers are ruined.

Is not the old 1980's Ben Eltonesque, Tories=Bad and Labour=good, wearing a little thin now? Were not New Labour responsible for waging a war that has spilt the blood of 100's thousands of innocent civilians, not to mention our own soldiers? Were not New Labour responsible for the driving down of wages thanks to their policy of encouraging mass immigration of cheap labour from Eastern Europe? Were not New Labour responsible for allowing Capitalism to run amok, free of all punitive legislation and in so doing precipitating the endless recession we now find ourselves in? Were not New labour responsible for the greatest increase in the gap between rich and poor in history? Need I go on?

I think to suggest that somehow Labour are any lesser cunts than those in power now, is frankly, deluded nonsense!

And to No6 stating that the Tories are "Laughing" at the so called, "Working class", well who is this guy laughing at then?

Nothing will change until people stop believing that ANY party gives a flying fuck for anyone or anything, apart from securing endless power for themselves.

Exactly

If the current opposition were in power rather than the coalition while any individual might be better or worse off depending on their circumstances, assessed benefit entitlements etc. overall the country would still be in the same mess.
There would still be high unemployment, high level of imports, very low interest / returns on pensions and investments, the health service would still be bursting at the seams, loads of public money squandered etc. etc. not to mention low morale / confidence in the future.

I miss the old days when if the police were not happy with you they would follow you into a tube station and pump 6 shots into your head, they were harsh but fair.

Presumably as he is a member of the 'old fashioned values' party he will accept a clip round the ear as a punishment.

A charming post that has nothing at all to do with mine.

"Is not the old 1980's Ben Eltonesque, Tories=Bad and Labour=good, wearing a little thin now?"

No-one puts out that line, not even Ben Elton nor even Ed Balls for that matter. Did you miss the apology that Balls made for cocking up bank regulation?

" Were not New Labour responsible for waging a war that has spilt the blood of 100's thousands of innocent civilians, not to mention our own soldiers?"

I had never thought of that. Good point well made! Give us a clue, was it Iraq? The one where Hague stated that the need for WMD to be found first, should not necessarily be a reason to prevent invasion? At least Blair made the effort to cook up a dodgy dossier!

Well Cameron seems to be doing very well with Afghanistan and Libya. Not an innocent life lost.

"Were not New Labour responsible for the driving down of wages thanks to their policy of encouraging mass immigration of cheap labour from Eastern Europe?"

As someone viewed as the epitome of learned fairness on this site, perhaps you might consider mentioning the introduction of the minimum wage in the first place, hotly opposed by Cameron and Co. at the time, disability legislation, tax credits and pension credits?

"Were not New Labour responsible for allowing Capitalism to run amok, free of all punitive legislation and in so doing precipitating the endless recession we now find ourselves in?"

Thank Christ we have a Tory government who oppose capitalism in all its forms and are sorting it all out in double quick time. Lending down, growth up, balance of payments much better, showing the US what growth is all about and no free income tax giveaways for millionaires. Err. I might have got some of the last sentence the wrong way round?

"I think to suggest that somehow Labour are any lesser cunts than those in power now, is frankly, deluded nonsense!"

I never realised that was your view.

Yeah, but you just look at it from the point of view as to how Jimslip.com is doing, don't you? Like you are against limitations on civil liberties unless it helps jimslip.com

You are probably just counting down the hours until the coalition opt in plan comes along and all these "bandwidth timewasters" and people with their crappy little websites on this forum can be fucked off to help you make some extra dosh from the all-conquering, fantastico, cheap at twice the price, jimslip.com.

What did Flat Eric say, something like "viewing the topic with pound signs in your eyes".

Very, very true, Eric. Eh Jim?

"overall the country would still be in the same mess."

Nothing in the economic figures for the last two years supports your views.

For example, click on the link below from that Socialist rag, the Daily Mail and scroll down to the graph on UK growth quarter on quarter.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... ellor.html

You will see that qtrs 1, 2 and 3 in 2010 which still saw the impact of Labour's economic policy saw combined growth of 1.8%. It was at this point that Cameron elected in May 2010 announced that the UK was out of the recession due to the fantastic work done by himself and Osborne. Since then for 18 months we have had less than 0% growth.

Now Sparky you might take the view like Osborne that it is all Jonny Foreigner's fault. Alas for Osborne, Jonny Foreigner in the G7 and G20 have all been doing better growthwise than UK PLC apart from Italy.

Now you may think, it is all down to "Labour's mess" but I suspect you are not as daft as that. Economists and the Labour and Liberal party (before they went into government) predicted exactly what would happen with the Tories economic policy.

And so it came to pass.

Number 6 is right.

What a fucking stupid line you have just said.

Because in the heartlands of Labour ie the North as DJ has pointed out they love their own voters.
