Watchers into do-ers eh? Sounds like porn has freed them from the shackles of shame.

We reap what we have sown. Was this not always the endgame. Now porn has become acceptable to a certain degree even the anti porn crusaders are getting chased out of university debates.

Seems the smarter companies are going for the bigger budget stuff as the one on one porn/ gonzo stuff is played out.

The upside to this is that it forces the more ambitious pornographer to up their game and do new stuff to stay ahead of the fodder that fuels tube sites

The same will happen in 5 years time. Except it wont be for DVD and it might not be for AdultWork either. This business radically changes every 5 years Ive noticed.

Suffice to say there has been a massive culling of sorts

The net has transformed sex - its only in the past few years that we have seen the internet take off as a medium, gone from anoraks to fully open internet enabled devices accessable by joe average.

I was looking at a car recently and it had a unit that connects blue tooth to my mobile and gives me google maps on the sat nav and also lets me browse the net for what I need. This is exactly what Im on about you identify a need and fill that need and make money.

Im 40 odd now and go back to when I was 17 or 18 what porn was there then ? loads but it was all on vhs or in mag form. Now where is porn, or should I ask where isnt porn now ? its every where ! and its more main stream no one bats an eye lid do they ? You could even buy a vibrator from superdrug, now thats going some aint it. Two packets of razors a jar of face cream and hey that multi speed clit tickler please......

I still believe that there is a market for porn but its how we identify where we can make money. People have money now aswell and can live thier dreams adultwork brings sexual encounters to a local level, as said the internet brings about a new ease of research. You can find what you want and well get your kicks and it aint on route 66.

Looking back on the past few years of internet porn Ive subscribed to sites Ive used free porn and ive found the odd bootleg - ill see a girl and get the hots for her and find out through the net as much as I can ( stalking ? no only if you actually go after the girl....) amazing resource and if she really pulls my strings id join a few sites to see more of her. I joined your site Jim for a couple - ya saucy git managed to shag two favs - Christine and Lara.... hats off to ya and your ma hero lol.

I dont know where porn is going to go or what is going to happen but as we have an open market the profit margins and guys running about with suitcases of money appear to have dried up. But still there is good porn out there and there are models willing to daubble in the biz, thats all a guy wants a few good looking girls doing the bump grind and suck so we can see them have fun. not much to ask and its not rocket science. Making money from it however is.....

If dvd sales have increased I'd speculate its because of the 10 month war against filehosts is starting to bite

There are a whole lot of things going on which essentially are making getting to specific free content easily something which is an exercise in patience & perserverance

When you couple that with the search engines like

files tube (many popular filehosts have blocked them out tright)
file crop ( going non-adult)
google (removing a lot of search criteria or moving it deeper in their database)

Then filehosts bringing all manner of restrictions simply to stay in the courts good books to show their actively removing copyright violations

The best example of that is a well know high traffic pirate forum where links for a certain well known filehost show up as dead - its a trick as the filehost is simply blocking any link clicked on that forum not the actual content.

ie rapidshare reducing free user speeds to 30kb over 30mb

Some folks have come to the conclusion that time is money
and its all a bit too hard

If only someone would do something about those hosts

depositfiles,rapidgator,uploaded etc

still paying money t uploaders
the sharing frenzy would be well and truly DEAD and gone.

I think the apparent increase in DVD sales could also be caused by the publics mistrust of handing over credit card details to porn sites. I think anything from "Opt in" to publicity from things like speculative invoicing will cause momentary spikes in DVD sales, but the truth is joining and paying for a website you like, is by far the best way of viewing porn.

You don't have to worry about snoopers, viruses, trojan horses, key registers, hackers and most importantly sheisters burying some code into your, "Free download", nicking your ISP, waiting a few months and then demanding money off you for "Illegal downloads". Its only a matter of time before a mobster tries doing the Swedish scam over here.

Sales can be seen simply as a naturally "peaking and troughing". It doesnt mean its going to continue. If it lasts for a good while then there will be some substance to what you say but its far too early to say if this is the reason

The real reason could be down to the fact no one is bothering to release DVDs so therefore this frees up the market for new product but given what distributors are offering I cant be bothered with all the headaches of overhead costs and recouping investments when websites do much better

That mistrust is being fueled by filehosts when threatened using their premium members details as a bargaining chip

Rapidshare did it many years ago and somehow went from top 10 target to near untouchable and favourite of the courts

Oron was the latest when it was sued out of existence in July 2012

For Oron, this is the second lawsuit brought against the site this summer. Last month adult studio Corbin Fisher sued the company for no less than $34.8 million for alleged copyright infringements. As part of a settlement,

"As part of a settlement, Oron then offered to assist the studio prosecute its own users."

Not surprisingly a small proportion of end users are turning to paid Virtual Private Networks to hide their IP addy, bypass the filehosts and go back to torrents which is inherently risky given the mass court cases against torrent users have been running since 2010 and show no sign of letting up.

Signing up to a site periodically that shoots its own material makes a lot of sense

Signing up to a generic site using bought non-exclusive material less so
given the plethora of quality sample galleries about on various search engines & a to z listings

About the only thing the copyright police are doing wrong at the minute is
asking google to remove violations from sites that have been dead for months.....wasting time that they could actually be asking for LIVE content to be removed...

dead links left up have a double benefit - pissing of freeloaders like little else

You only need take a look at search engines like files tube to see how leaving up dead links will become a huge deterrent to those looking for a free lunch
