"The EDL believe in peacefully opposing militant Islam "
Is this what you mean by "peacefully opposing"?

"Make no mistake groups like the NWI and cxf and combat 18 see people like you as just as dangerous as muslim suicide bombers and paedophiles. You are classed as an apologist and a supporter and in the race war they consider themselves in you are their enemy
"
Says it all really. Anyone who opposes the use of "fucking Paki" type language as attendees at the EDL Bradford demo and other demos were doing, is "as dangerous as muslim suicide bombers".
Just the sort of democratic language you would expect from the fellow travellers of Tommy Robinson, the son of Irish immigrants who is the self-elected leader of an organisation called the English Defence League.
Robinson, himself, seems a pleasant, likeable, peaceful chap.
It was found that the "Tommy Robinson" involved with the EDL as Lennon, and reported that he had served a twelve months prison sentence for assaulting an off-duty police officer who had intervened to stop a domestic incident between Lennon and his partner Jenna Vowles. He was convicted on 18 April 2005 for assault occasioning actual bodily harm and assault with intent to resist arrest while his partner was cautioned for possession of cocaine.
On 24 August 2010, Lennon was involved in a fight between supporters of Luton Town and Newport County in Luton, on the evening the two clubs played at Kenilworth Road. Lennon reportedly led the group of Luton fans, and played an integral part in starting the 100-man brawl, during which he chanted "EDL till I die". Eleven months later, in July 2011, he was convicted of having "used threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour" on the night of the incident. He was given a 12-month community rehabilitation order and a three-year ban from attending football matches. He was also sentenced to 150 hours' unpaid work, and ordered to pay ?650 in costs.
Lennon was arrested after an EDL demonstration in Tower Hamlets on 3 September 2011 for breach of bail conditions, as he had been banned from attending the demonstration. After his arrest, Lennon began a hunger strike in custody in Bedford Prison, claiming to be a "political prisoner of the state", and refused to eat halal meat (which in fact he had not even been offered). A local paper however reported that Bedford Prison sources had claimed that "his hunger strike lasted only 24 hours and then he gave up when he got peckish".
On 29 September 2011 he was convicted of common assault after headbutting a fellow EDL member at a rally in Blackburn in April that year.

David..
Here is an interesting film, it is nearly half an hour long but it is worth putting time aside to watch it. It is about some muslims, one in particular, who tries to understand what they EDL is about and states he is as anti muslim extremism as the EDL are. This muslim man tries to empathise and draw parallels between himself and the EDL leader. It is very interesting to watch.

I doubt British sex tourists hate Thai prostitutes for the fact that they are Thai. In fact I doubt they hate them at all. Nor do the likes of Raoul Moat kill their children because they have the wrong sort of boyfriend. But if the rape and murder of white girls by Pakistani gangs in your own town can't shake you out of your complacency, then nothing will. No more to be said.

Please provide the evidence that you have to support your statement re. the murder of white girls by Pakistani gangs to the Blackpool police. Two murder trials covering the disappearance of Charlene Downes have failed to result in a guilty verdict.
We are both anxious to see the guilty man/men convicted so your new evidence would be extremely welcome.

Thanks for that. I too thought it was an interesting take on the EDL. I can.t say that I was surprised by it because every Muslim person I have met/worked with etc. has been totally against extremist Muslim views. I can't recall anyone even trying to defend extremism.
As for Davey's view "The EDL believe in peacefully opposing militant Islam ", this strikes me as nonsense.
"Peaceful" - you just have to look at one of the hundreds of EDL marches on Youtube to see that many on these marches are far from peaceful.
"Opposing militant Islam" - How can that be the case if the EDL protest at plans to build mosques or outside mosques which do not have a reputation for having militants running them?
It's a bit like me being pissed off by some extremist Christians who try to stop women having abortions in London and then turning up to protest outside my local church or plans to build a place of Christian worship.

To be fair I have never met a white person who's been extremely racist or homophobic in real life.
Maybe we've just been lucky. Maybe not.
As you know, I grew up in the middle of an Asian neighbourhood. Just over a decade ago I was working nights as a metallurgist and so asleep in my bed right past lunchtime. I was awoken by beeping car horns and someone shouting in the street. Upon looking through the curtains a neighbour of mine, who I'd grew up with playing football, cricket and school, had his 2 year old son on his shoulders and was cheering loudly with two or three other kids I knew. He is of Yemeni descent and the others were Pakistani. I went for a piss and shower, had some cereal and popped out to an old family friend who was getting on and bad on his feet, to see if he wanted any help (shopping or gardening etc). Anyway, on the way to his house I hear lots of people in cars beeping their horns and cheering. "Didn't know Pakistan was playing England at Cricket", I thought. On getting to my old friend's house he lets me in and asks me if I'd seen the news.
It was around 2pm on the 11th September, 2001 and I saw both of the Twin Towers had aeroplane-shaped holes in them. You know the rest.
Like you, even though I was just about raised and educated amongst British Muslims I'd never once heard an extremist view since Salman Rushdie's Satanic Verses was released. Most of my friends just accepted he should be killed but at 12 years old I didn't really think much of it. I was too busy playing football and wondering why all the girls had suddenly taken an interest in where my friends and I sat in class.
You see, just like your common racist and homophobe, they know when, where and to whom they can spit out their bilious views. They stay quiet until they're with like-minded friends or have the anonymity of the internet. I was disgusted at the friends of mine who were cheering the death of thousands of lives. Just for a few moments their anger and frustration of the western world came to the surface. It WAS a minority, but it was visible and poignant for me.
How people act in front of you may not be how they act when they're with others.

I don't doubt your feedback at all nor question your point. Such is the nature of all human relationships to varying degrees.

I thought you'd latch onto the murder part of my statement David. Does that mean you don't dispute the rapes? Seriously, nothing I can say will shake you out of your complacency, there is no point trying. I'm afraid you are politically correct to the point of self-delusion.

Terrified of answering questions, Robches
On the case of rapes I dont know whether anyone has been convicted or not which is why I made no mention of it. If they have, all to the good.
Again you totally refuse to answer any questions I put. What evidence do you have to categorically state that white girls were killed by Pakistanis in Blackpool? None whatsoever. YOu have an opinion. Nothing else. Like many on here, you confuse having an opinion with prima facie evidence.
Unfortunately for some on this forum, there is no automatic convict button for Afro-Caribbeans and Asians. There were arrests made with regard to the murder of Charlene Downes and the evidence collected by the police passed the tests set by the CPS to go ahead with a trial. The jury could not reach a verdict so were discharged and a retrial ordered. Now no matter how distressed you might be Robches that they were not found guilty, we have this thing called juries in the UK. Maybe you can
Before the new trial started the trial was called off because of huge concerns with the police evidence collated.
The IPCC evidence is here
http://www.ipcc.gov.uk/news/Pages/pr151 ... 20Releases
This backs up the whole point of my thread i.e. this appears to be an example of crap, lazy, incompetent policing just as it has been in the past in the case of black, brown, pink, purple with green spots guys who should have been charged and found guilty if proper policing had been in place.
So you cannot back up your statemnts at all. You cannot have a discussion because you talk to yourself all the time. All you can do is come out with stuff like "complacent" and "politically correct"
YOu are truly pathetic in your views.

Re: Political correctness gone mad?
David, you can insult me all you like. You seem completely unable to accept that Pakistani Muslim rape gangs are operating throughout Britain, including in your own town. I pity you, but not as much as the underage white girls they use as fuck meat.
