Yes he did, he called it the National Socialist German Workers' Party.

And I think 'national' could replace 'German' anyway.

Simple - because most normal people hate politicians far more than they hate foreigners. Look at the low numbers of party membership; the desperate demands of politicians that parties should be publicly funded; the scorn and contempt heaped upon politicians during the expenses scandal. Some people demand an English parliament as a sop to the Irish, Welsh and Scottish ones. Are they mad? We want fewer of the sods not more. I have an MP, an MEP, a London Assembly member and three local councillors all representing me. What on earth do they all do? What would you call the redundancy of 50% of all politicians in this country? A bloody good start.

Take your point, though I don't see that the view of politicians in France is much different from the contempt they seem to be held in the UK.
