'Blood hell' sounds much more sinister than 'bloody hell'!

Bloody typos!

"I'm not so concerned about specific targets. On that your point is made and unarguable. Since it is unarguable I can either tell you I agree wholeheartedly, patting you on the head or move on to why the general trend over the past two years doesn't even look like it's going down.

Your replies are both silly and condescending. You lack clarity. Your pride in your brevity results in that lack of clarity.

"Thus my twice asked, and twice unanswered question: Has the way checks occur, and/or the way figures are counted changed since the last election which may account -in part- to the latest findings?"

Has the way checks occur changed? Unsure what you mean by checks. What sort of checks? If you mean by checks at the border, given that Theresa May had apparently little idea what checks were going on at the border (refer to Brodie Clark dispute) then how would I know?

Secondly, as to your question, have the way the figures are counted changed?

Yes, Samuel, the first thing Theresa May did was change the way immigration figures were counted so that the Tory led coalition could be made to look as if they are doing a far worse job than they actually are. (Johnson uses Slater condescending and silly approach).

As far as I know, not.

Things are getting worse, fellow forumites!

[snip]

Remember DVD Dave and Saint Theresa May promised to reduce net migration to tens of thousands?

Well if you look at this Office of National Statistics graph....

http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/rel/migration ... migration-

Net migration under the coalition is hgher than it was under most of the Labour government years apart from 2004-5 when Labour stupidly didnt introduce transitionary restrictions on new EU countries e.g. Poland to limit immigration.
**************************

Are you trying to imply that Westminster witterings, from ANY of the LibLabCon, have any more validity than the vapid outpourings of a snake oil salesman?

Are we supposed to have believed that spindizzy Dave actually floated his shallow PR puffs on something called 'conviction'? I suppose that 'floating voters' did. Naivety is a terrible affliction which should be treated on the NHS.

In any event, Socialists with an agenda would be well advised to help that Liberal wearing a blue tie, David Cameron, to stay in his position. He is the best recruiting sergeant they are ever likely to have.

Your attitude stinks. It was a fair and reasonable question and I couldn't have been more clearer unless I dumbed it down so much it would be like addressing an infant.

Finally, after three replies which included frivolous complaints about clarity, calling my question 'silly', calling me 'condescending' and sprinkling a little sarcasm on top you decide to answer my questions. It's almost as if you took offence to my question so much the sarcasm and bad attitude was intentional.

Stop being such a dick* about it. It's not like I was arguing with you.

* I first inserted 'prick' but thought that a little too spiky. That's how much I find your attitude here unreasonable and uncalled for.

Ever thought of having a discussion with Jim Slip? He's usually up for a political discussion.

Despite having comprehensively convinced yourself about your clarity of expression, ya still haven't clarified what you meant by checks? Checks at the border; checks on initial visa applications in the home country; checks on applications made in the UK; checks on illegal immigrants within the UK; checks on the ports with regard to illegal immigrants, checks on asylum seekers, checks on removal of failed asylum seekers, checks on student visas, checks on applications for student visas? One, two or all of these?

Maybe I should have just guessed what you were on about and responded to what I thought you were thinking about. As I said, try Jim Slip, he might be a better mind reader. Then you could "pat him on the head" and move on.

Have a good weekend.

Well once again you have "proved" that the UK would be a veritable Utopia, with no poverty, debt or racism and of course immigration would be completely under control, if only everyone would vote New Labour for ever and ever and ever.

Shame for you that no one in the electorate believes your crazed rantings....... but of course they have been all brainwashed by the Daily Mail.

Why don't you read a book called "Things can only get better" by John O'Farrell ,who unlike you, who remains perched on BGAFD, like some bizarre, nailed down parrot, endlessy spouting nonsense to the half dozen or so people who have nothing else to do but read this stuff, O'Farrell is a TRUE Labour supporter and activist who tireless worked for the depressing 18 years whilst they were in opposition. HE ACTUALLY KNOCKED ON DOORS CAMPAIGNING DURING LABOURS DARKEST TIMES! In other words, unlike you, he and others made themselves useful for the cause.

Most important of all, unlike you, this man has a SENSE OF HUMOUR and a SENSE OF IRONY and does more for the Labour Party in a page, than you with your endless, tiresome, spewing of robotic dogma and stats will ever achieve!

Read his books and learn how to convince rather than bully and harangue! O'Farrell gives hope, people like you are just plain depressing, your politics and style are from another time, a nasty brutal time, a time that never existed here, but only in Eastern Europe. You machine gun one and all with reams of dodgy, selective "Stats" and think they convince. They convince noone.

You must ALWAYS have the last word and you think if you do, that somehow you have "Won" the argument. All that has happened is that your opponent has walked away, bored. You have won nothing at all! You masquerade as a carer and New Labour, "Nice guy", but underneath you wish to brutally crush all opposition. You are a dinosaur and actually harm the Labour Party, God help them if you ever got a voice outside the tiny walls of BGAFD........there would be a massive epidemic of Sleeping Sickness!

I forgot about the actual point I was making. It is this, if during the reign of New Labour I had started a thread on BGAFD,

"Warmonger Blair plunges UK into migration nightmare"

And then continued discussing the enormous rise in immigration under New Labour, you would have attacked me like a crazed, rabid dog. Foaming at the mouth with indignation and calling me a "Racist" and demanding my removal from BGAFD.

You are a complete and totally certified hypocrite!

David Johnson, handing out the "Rage" when it suits his dubious cause?

We were discussing immigration. Of course checks at the border. That is one of the ways that would have an affect on immigration figures, no?

For future reference here's what I would have said if the roles were reversed:

"Checks, David? You mean checks at border control? I don't know, tbh."

You see how this would have prevented six further posts on the central point of 'clarity' and might have avoided further annoyance and irritation?

It seems my 'patting on the head' remark irked you. You seem to have taken the remark as an attempt at patronising you. Far from it! I was actually saying "let's not waste time backslapping each other on things we agree on and move onto other things which might be more interesting." It should be read as, "I don't want to patronise you for being correct (patting you on the head re missed targets) and lets move the discussion on."

Again, I thought that was easily readable between the lines. I guess not and I apologise for the misunderstanding.

You asked me some questions. I had the courtesy to answer them specifically. You have not disputed any of the info provided.

I answered your questions to prove that I had already slagged off Labour's immigration policy whilst they were still in power despite what you stated..

I have also shown you how immigration from non-EU countries is just as high if not higher than it was in the time of the Labour government.

Your post I am replying to and the post entitled My Last word at all times is just the usual Slip mix of insults, ignorance, lies and misrepresentation. You clearly have nothing sensible to add.

Why would you?
