This falklands debate is starting to piss me off, argentina has no legitimate claim to the islands it became british before that country existed and to call us colonialists is a piss take coming from a continent of colonisers, why do they all speak spanish, apart for brazil of course,if you believe every critic of britain we were the only nation who ever had colonys or territories, people seem to forget about what happened in central and south america maybe its religion, catholic south america and protestants (maybe)in the falklands,i would like to see some other countries backing us for a change!

It is worth pointing out that South America could be considered a continent of the colonised (by Spain and Portugal) rather than a continent of colonisers.

He's not a complete dummy.

He married Mad Donna when she was hot and dumped he when she got scrawny.

... and don't for get the island of Guam, thousands of miles from the USA in the mid Pacific. They took that off Spain in 1898 after a brief war with that country, and it's been administered as US terrirory ever since.

Haven't heard Mr. Penn say owt about that one. Can't imagine why.

A bit rich since America fucked the original indians out of their country to establish themselves there.

I like Sean Penn in many movies (as a jewish lawyer in Carlitos way, Mystic River and even What Just Happened?) but I think when it comes to matters like Argentina, he is entitled his opinion.

I just think his opinion is bullshit for the reason I've mentioned.

I love ya movies man but shut the fuck up!

If Penn was a tyre fitter in Denver we would never have heard of his view - the fact that hes a movie star and papers and mags print what rubbish spouts from the mouths then that is why we have heard.

Guys a twat who has not looked into the history of the issue, maybe if he did then he would have held his mouth shut.

It would appear also William that the vast majority of the US are also woefully ignorant of history.
None of them want to talk about Hawaia, or Guam, or any of the land stolen from their native indians.
Hypocritical ignoramuses is a favourite term I often use to describe them.
