Well, since the 3 Stooges were made during the 1930's it could be argued that Adolf Hitler was a massive fan of Moe and saw the rest of us Larry & Curly and The Stooges could be the underlying and never before considered reason behind the start of World War 2! The Germans always seemed to be slapping people and saying, "Vee ask ze qvestionze!"
Could we one day see on the History Channel, "The Three Stooges- A lesson from History?"
And just imagine giving Moe a side parting, greasing his hair down and giving him a little moustache...........spooky, eh?

Well thats a very strong example to try and convince, though i'm sure most of us don't know any axe murderers. And i agree with Jim when he said, it can influence but it would have to be in someone already capable of commiting the act any way and perhaps this being the final push.
It's just a too easy an out to say well i watched this violent film so thats why i killed so and so!

Of course most of us don't know an axe murderer, but we know they exist, and we know how they do it and why, because we can watch them in movies.

I'm not sure that adverts can condition people to believe in or adopt behaviour that's alien to their nature. If they could, every woman in our society would hold her husband in utter contempt as a useless oaf.
I don't get the sense that this is so when talking to women in the real world. Yes, there are some bolshie females who have a chip on their shoulder, but the majority, (who are exposed to adverts), just seem to get on with life.
