There is a place for adult comedy but equally Ronnie Corbett etc. are right in that comedians ought still to be able to produce a show without swearing and toilet humour that keeps the audience !laugh!

Frankie Boyle.

Ugly, Scottish and ginger, no wonder he's got a chip on his shoulder.

Our office has gone mega PC so we use the double entendres all the time. Nice scones, rub me off (the notice board) please etc etc. One of my female colleagues can be reduced to stitches by the slightest mention of "girth" .

Yes swearing can be funny like others have said, if its in the right context in a joke or story they tell.

But quiet a few comedians rely on swearing to try and be funny or shocking, most modern comedians are not that funny in my book.

Subscribing to a quote from The Simpsons "Its funny cos its true" I htink swaering is only funny inthe context of how its delivered. Not because of the swearing in itself.

A lot of wrong things we laugh at we laugh at because we know it as true deep odwn but because it is politically incorrect to laugh at things like black people, homosexuality, women, people with disabilities and so on, we tend to not admit to finding it funny unless we are in the right environment to do so.

I remember all the 9/11 jokes that came up within days of the incident but you cant stop humans being human and you cant control free will and free thought.

Ronnie Corbett was funny in his day. Still funny now too but if everybdoy was like Ronnie Corbett it wouldnbt be very funny really would it?

Then there would always be someone that pushed humour beyond acceptable limits but that all comes with talent and our competitive nature.

Strange that, I was under the impression, obviously mistaken, that this bloke couldn't say a sentance without cunt being said 4 or 5 times along with shit and fuck.
I will alter my view about him. Yes I have laughed at his late night showings on cable.
