Safe to say he will be remembered as being a great player if he can keep the same level of play up for a decade and win a few trophies that mean something along the way
I seem to recall Ronaldinho being the worlds best player 5 years ago
and today hes a remnant of that player
Cristiano Ronaldo - won champions league with Man U
but with Portugal couldnt break down Greece twice to win Euro 2004
The greats are named as such because they were the best for their entirety of their careers
The comment by Franz beckenbauer about germanys 2002 world Cup Squad
"We have no great players but there are no bad players in the Squad"
probably sums up the modern era quite well where its all about atheletes moulded to play football because of the huge number of extra games played.
