David, I know of these hideous Orders in Ireland. I have seen some programmes and films about them.

You mention Northern Ireland politicans. Here is Martin McGuinness talking about why he left school at the age of 15. He says the Christain Brothers who took him for maths were so cruel and brutal that it was like being in a concetration camp and he and others couldn't wait to leave:

Here is a spoof of Gerry Adams, being done by a comedian. He says that when he was young he didn't have much money and got a reputation for being a tight-arse. He says that made him very popular with the Christian Brothers:

I feel quite sorry for the people of Ireland, that is a country which has been literally raped by religion and it must have been hideous to grow up there years ago. A blind-eye was always turned to the sick things that went on and the sick religious bastards who raped kids and hurt them were almost respected. There are better times there now though.

Regarding what I said earlier, do you think Christian, Sikh, or Jewish kids would be allowed to enroll in one of these devout muslim schools? If so, would their religious days be celebrated? It seems to happen the other way round. I am still waiting for a multi-faith service, something which happens at St Johns Wood church in London, to happen in a mosque. Why not? Let's have an Imam, a Rabbi and Priest jointly doing the service in a mosque. Hey, I'm all for 'community cohesion', 'multi-culturalism', and the 'celebration of differnt faiths' aren't you?

"This is an example of me being a grand denier is it?"

It would appear so, unless you can further enlighten me.

To suggest that the systemic teaching within around 2000 Muslim faith schools, that all religions except Islam are worthless and to enforce that teaching with violence against the children, is the work of Muslim psychopaths, appears a denial.

The point I am making is that violence is not limited to Muslim single faith schools.

Look I haven't even seen all the program and judging from the timing of your posts, you havent either.

First in the absence of you seeing the program, are you suggesting that Dispatches have proven that

"the systemic teaching within around 2000 Muslim faith schools, that all religions except Islam are worthless "

From the very limited amount of the program I have seen it focused on two or three schools or madrassas where there was the teaching of race hatred and violence took place. During that program there were a number of Muslims who were obviously reacting extremely badly to the approach used e.g. parents, other imams, scholars etc etc.

To avoid your total confusion what I believe is as follows:

1. Single faith schools are an all round bad idea.
2. Single faith schools whether they be Muslim, Catholic, Christian Brother or whatever inevitably lead to divisions in the community and an increased likelihood of bigotry whether overtly or implicitly being taught, relayed.
3. Violence/sexual abuse was endemic in Catholic schools for many, many decades. Violence in Muslim schools should be equally condemned.
4. Anyone preaching racial or religious hatred should be arrested and charged under the relevant legislation.
5. Anyone using the violence that was endemic in Catholic schools and other schools either single faith or mixed faith should be charged with the relevant crime.

Got it now?

Do you think there are many Muslims signing up for Jewish schools so they can go along to a bar mitzvah?

Got it now?

Yes thanks, but there are definite shades of Mehdi Hasan in saying it like that, ie a bit stroppy with a hint of aggression!

Your list appears adequate for now and appears to completely coincide with my own thoughts on the matter. I appreciate the clarification.

Indeed, I have not watched it yet as I have to wait and see it on 4 on Demand, hopefully tomorrow. But I have seen some pre-screening stuff and press release, it certainly does not look good.

It would seem rather unlikely. It would also seem unlikely on the face of it for a muslim kid to want to partake in a Nativity play but you get a lot of muslim kids enrolling in Christian schools.

Well, I guess if you had been insulted with terms like
"the grand denier and lo the first of the deniers puts his hand up" you probably wouldnt be full of sweetness and light.

So considering you have totally misrepresented me as you did, I would have thought a "Got it now?" was fairly reasonable in the circumstances.

If I had been a Rodders you would have probably been on the receiving end of a

"What the fuck are you on about you fucking moron. Your views are complete shite, you twatttttttttt (extra tts for emphasis)

If I had been a Jimbo you would have probably had a picture of Hitler and/or Stalin, together with an endless diatribe about the role of New Labour, together with an indepth analysis about how you, Alex have become totally deluded and are about to cart off him, Jimbo to a torture chamber in CHeam.

Have a good night
