I have organised a conference for you Eric.

Its going to be in Manchester, week after next and attended by the TORY chair of the Local Government Association, the leader of the LIB DEM group in the LGA, the Labour leader of Manchester council and the TORY LIB DEM leaders of the Birmingham Council. I have also got the TORY leader of Blackpool Council who thinks Eric Pickles is talking out his arse to come along.

I have also got senior LIB DEM representatives from the 17 councils that wrote to the Times today slating the governments cuts.

They all agree with each other and disagree with you. The provisional title for your talk is
"Stop messing about and run your councils properly!!"

Tea will be provided. Bring your own biscuits.

No cans of Cameron piss allowed on the premises!

It should be a great day out.
