How has multiculturalism failed?

There's never been any debate about what multiculturalism's goals or objectives are or were, and then Cameron tells us that it's failed ! Seems a bit daft to me.

Doesn't matter what it sounds like, the man has a point. If you can't see it maybe you should get some glasses.

Oh yeah? So what cultures, within Britain, refuse to get on?

My colleague has the misfortune of going to college in Bradford. She is an intelligent and very tolerant person but finds herself getting upset at the ghetto like attitude of the Asian and Black communities. They want an Islamic or Carribean state, with their own rules, while vilifying our laws and making their white neighbours feel like tresspassers. If I went to Pakistan or Jamaica I would be tolerant of their wishes and traditions. I expect them to do the same in my country.

Many people in many countries don't have the opportunity of education, so why is it a 'misfortune'?

Some may, most won't. And I'd say there's a big difference between a Caribbean state and an Islamic one so with the students pulling in opposite directions they'd never organise anything resembling an organised coup d'etat. You're friend is safe, I think.

Well, you're a respectable, decent guy, Argy. There are many Brits who go to other people's countries, treat the locals with contempt and trash the fucking place. Good and bad in every culture, my friend.
