David, I know you have made several comments criticising the Labour Party and I admire you for that, but taken in proportion,it is a minuscule amount compared to the praise.
I don't know if you hope to entice more people to vote for your party of choice but I find you so biased that, to be honest, I find it hard to believe much of what you say.
You post links to items that support your views, but I've already proved that I can post links that disagree with yours. You admit that you can prove anything with figures, yet you continue to post.
What exactly are you trying to prove?

"David, I know you have made several comments criticising the Labour Party and I admire you for that, but taken in proportion,it is a minuscule amount compared to the praise."

Not in terms of range of areas which Labour failed at.

"I don't know if you hope to entice more people to vote for your party of choice but I find you so biased that, to be honest, I find it hard to believe much of what you say."

Couldnt care less about your reaction. I just give my views. It is other's prerogative to believe them or otherwise.

"You post links to items that support your views, but I've already proved that I can post links that disagree with yours. "

As I recall you tried once. Whether the links that either of us use are correct or not is a completely different question.

"What exactly are you trying to prove?"

I give my views, together with information that supports those views, depending on the subject I am discussing. Just like any forum I guess.

God knows what you are "trying to prove" on this forum?

Cheers
D

Don't get me started on the fucking job seekers allowance. As the recipient of an Army Pension I am unable to claim the pittance of the Dole as my pension is greater than the pittiful fucking Allowance.
I found this out when I was made redundant 11 years ago. Luckily only out for a few weeks.
Paid me taxes and NI all me fucking working life and got fuckall when I needed something.
All fucking skivers and illegal fucking immigrants should be fucking got rid of.
I am fucking pissed off with bankrolling these lazy arsehole bastards.
I suppose the fucking Labour fucking arsehole luvvies will disagree, but hey, whats fucking new, eh?

So you admit to posting links that you don't know are correct?
Well that's OK then, as long as they support your point of view.
All I'm trying to prove is that you're so convinced that your point of view is correct that you refuse to accept that you might actually be (heaven forbid) wrong.
Just my opinion, which I'm sure you'll ignore and try to ridicule, but heyyyyy you're the great DJ.

What surprises me more than you reading the Daily fucking Male is the fact that they printed an in depth article with regard to the plight of the elderly having to sell their homes to fund their nursing care.
Are you sure they got their facts right?
Personally in any cafe the 2 papers shunned by me are the Daily Male and the fucking Mirror, both of which are extreme right and left. I don't like the Sun but I do find it less distastefull and there aren't any greasy spoons that I have ever been in that take the Express or Telegraph.
So now you all know my reading preferences.

This is one of your most stupid posts so far.

When I provide a link to a newspaper or figures on growth, have I gone down to the newspaper room in question and grilled the reporter. Surprisingly I havent. Have I gone to the Office of Budget Responsibility when I have reported on something that they have stated, and sat down and spent a month or two trying to do a forensic analysis of their data. Surprise surprise Dick no I havent. Nor I suspect has George Osborne.

Like everybody else you make an informed decision on whether you think you can trust this data.

Stop wasting my time, Dick.

There you go again David, you really must try to control yourself. You are getting confrontational. I suspect that you really know that you're losing again.I expect you're next statement will be "I have nothing more to say"
Not too worry David just you go to beddy- byes and maybe the Labour fairy will come to tuck you in.

My parent are entering their 60s, and have recently seen one of the surviving parents succumb to a form of dementia (Lewy Bodies) which means he has to live in a Nursing Home for around-the-clock care, at a cost of ?600. A couple more years and there will be nothing left as regards the money in his house as the council have a charge on it whilst it is for sale.
My parents are simply going to transfer their property into he names of me & my siblings in 2-3 years so if they come up against that kind of thing 10-15 years later etc they won't actually own any property.

I know everyone hates the Mail and I think generally it's a rather sour, nasty little organ. But never in my life has reading an article in a newspaper ever ended in such a big result. This topic is The Mail's pet campaign, so I guess they have saved many ?Millions for the old folk and their relatives.

They stock it at every gym I've been to, in these parts. I think to be honest the general opinion of The Mail is based on that of that well known "Champagne Socialist" Ben Elton citing the paper as a Tory rag during the 1980's which it was.

I hate to say it, but nowadays, they just HATE EVERYONE, Tories, Labour, Lib Dems, the USA, our wars, and they constantly bang on about, CCTV and general abuses of power by the state.

In my opinion this is not a bad thing and it's a real reflection on the state of our country when the only "radical" anti-system newspaper is the Daily Mail.

Eg The Sun, Times & Sunday Times: Constant support of state incursions into our lives, hatred of unions, undying support of USA and all wars started by them, total support for Israel. Hates Wikileaks. In other words Murdochs mouthpiece.

The Guardian: total support of new labour and political correctness and general, "Right on" politics.

The Independent: Dunno what they do.

The Telegraph: Another so called Tory rag, but all the same leaked the expenses scandals.

The Mirror: Slavish and unconvincing total support for New Labour, but don't actually do anything useful.

That's a great idea. Parents should transfer or "Sell" all their assets to their children as early as possible, preferably 7 years before they are likely to need state help. Ideally the parents should pay a nominal rent to stay in the property.

If they are penniless on paper at least, the welfare state must step in. Political correctness that has now infected both New Labour and The Tories means that they must exclude property owners from the benefits of the welfare state, even though it is these people that have paid for it, during their working lives through taxes.

So best to be penniless and asset-less when you get old. The problem is by the time you get dementia and Alzheimer's it's too late to make these decisions!

By the way, I don't think the law extends to a diagnosis of Dementia, only Alzheimer's, but don't quote me on that!
