have you ever watched the football without Andy Gray?
Yes. He's not the best.
You enjoy it the same?
Probably, dunno. I'm more interested in the football rather than the commentary. Most commentators annoy me anyway.
You don't think he is a good commentator?
Nah..........I mean, he's ok, but I wouldn't call him good.
Or that he is fair & unbiased?
He can be biased....but then again most commentators are to some degree.
And genuinely knows what he is talking about?
Generally, yeah. He knows what he's talking about, but it's hardly rocket science, is it? I'd think your average football fanatic could break down the game just as easily.
Or you don't agree that women don't know about football?
Of course I don't agree with you here. What a stupid thing to say.
Or that saying its a woman linesman running today someone better go down and explain to her the offside rule was just a bit of banter?
Except they weren't laughing. They sounded genuinely disgusted to be honest.
or maybe when i said i was going to return my Sky Sports package? Maybe that is a huge over-reaction?
I couldn't care one iota what you do with your pennies. It's your money and you can cancel things based on what you deem important to you.
There is no reason why a female refereeing assistant cannot do her job as good as a man. This assistant in question has come up through the same ranks as her male peers, passed the same tests, studied the same books and so on. To go through all that she must be deeply interested in the game. It's not the sort of job you do solely for a paypacket - it's more a vocational career really.
Anyone who thinks a woman cannot do the job of a linesman (or refereeing assistant to be more accurate), and has no good argument as to why they think this way, is likely to just be your average sexist nobhead.
In fact, when it comes to the offside rule specifically, women may actually have a physical advantage in how their eyes 'see'.

Meatus you need help!! Andy Grey is the reason we now have a dearth of quality sports presenters and a glut of multi millionaire ex players who hog the screens. My only issue with Grey going is we will get more cack from the mouth of Jamie Redknapp. I love football but watch the action and nothing else. A game of football lasts 90 mins with 15 mins half time. Sky can somehow make it last four hours. Less pundit crap and more action please.

or maybe she only got the job, because she is a woman! And the FA in its way not wanting to seem old fashioned and PC and wanting to fit into the 21st Century decided it has to employ a woman in order to save face?
I have no idea anything about the woman, she may be fantastic at the job, and you're correct she has passed the same exam's, tests etc as men. And even if she aced them all and had the highest scores in them all. I believe she is only there because she is a woman! Case closed. It is a publicity exercise, a show of un-sexism in Football.
You have to laugh at the Respect campaign coming from this lot. When not one footballer is openly gay. Footballers coming out saying they would be totally surprised if any other football was gay. Or how they would react if there was 'one' in the locker room. No official, Referee, Linesman, Fourth official is openly gay either. Its alright showing Respect and Fair Play if you are Black or a Woman, just don't be Gay? It's a bit of a double standard isn't it. And just show's the Respect campaign for what it is. A publicity stunt!

Georgie Thompson, Vicky Gomersall, Alex Hammond, Charlotte Jackson, Millie Clode, Chloe Everton, Sarah Jane Mee, Natalie Sawyer, Rachel Wyse and Charlie Webster are all on Sky because of their journalism skills.
Not in any way sexist because of how they look?
