I spent a long time as a cook in the RN and we always use to say when some dared to complain,
"If you're looking for sympathy ship mate you'll in between shit and syphilis in the dictionary!"
On the food counter as a chef you where like god with a ladle in hand.

I am afraid that is the American style. So different from ours, and yes, the twatt got what he deserved from a retard.
I have seen the film several times and it aint my favourite. You want to see a film of guts and fortitude, then ZULU takes some beating.
Don't treat the men like a bunch of twatts if you don't want the fallout.
Seems to be the gung ho system that the Americans resort to to make their Marines.
Our Royal Marines do the opposite and turn out superior soldiers than do the Americans.

You do not need that bullshit to know that your rifle is an extension of your will. Every time I took my rifle out of the Armoury it stayed with me everywhere I went and it stayed with me even inside my schlaffensack with the sling around my wrist.
A complete load of bollocks to us, but, it is something that the Yanks like. So, let em like it.

I remember a rather cocky young squaddie in germany getting twatted around the head with the provo seargents pace stick...
The reason being his somewhat ill timed reply to " who called the cook a cunt" - said reply being " who called the cunt a cook"
It Hurt !grin!

Yes I heard that one so many times.
I did my RN cooks training at St Omer Barracks Aldershot. While there we use to say to the army cooks that around 90% of the British army was intelligent the other 10% are cooks!
Fucking good food in that place though and always a smile and a laugh.

Off at a tangent, but the only line I can remember from Corrie, is Percy Sugden defending his war record as a cook.
"I've made gravy under shelling, i'll have you know!"

And you get a spiffy looking medal for being able to tie your own shoelaces in the yank army too. But the tin-pot African dictatorships still have the best looking uniforms.
