for sure this is an odd one, latest line of enquiry is landlord recalls seeing her leave the flat in the company of two others, but still strangest part is keys/purse/bank cards were left at the flat.

When asked if the boyfriend was a suspect Detective Chief Inspector Phil Jones said.
?No, he?s a witness in this investigation.?
What does that mean? has he seen something?

Quite clearly it means that he may have information that is pertinent to the investigation, knowledge of her habits, or people she knew, not that he necessarily saw anything.
It must be very disappointing for those convinced of the boy friend's guilt that the landlord has now been arrested.

I saw an interview on Sky News which they had done with the landlord earlier in the weekend.
Apparently he has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Cars carted off for forensics etc.
With a haircut like that, anything is possible!

Not that I'm one to cast the first stone or say a man is guilty before he's found innocent, like, but I say hang 'im anyway, just to make sure!!

He had the motive.
Kill her and he doesn't have to pay her rent deposit back.
Case solved.
