"Yes some banks gambled ie northern rock, rbs and others who have grown over the last 15 years but not all and gordon brown based his economic growth on the banks and the housing boom to pay for 2 million extra public sector jobs which we can no longer afford.we need more wealth creating jobs like scientists and engineers and manufacturing from universities not more lawyers and human resources managers."
Re. private sector jobs, all politicans twitter on about the need for more of them. If you look at the history of Britain in the last 30 years, the only jobs that have been created in substantial numbers in this country are related to financial services and business services, particularly connected to the IT revolution which kicked off in the early 80s. In a global marketplace it is difficult to see how Britain can ever compete in manufacturing unless it is in cutting edge technology but even then there will be a quick catchup.

The tories are no different from any other fucking politician.
They are ALL lying duplicitus, self seeking, hypocritical, up their own arses bastards.
If anyone can come up with a better description of these bastards I would be interested in seeing it.
It has recently been announced that the benefits cap on housing rent had been planned by the previous government of fucking labour twatts who have castigated the present government for suggesting a limit of ?400 per week for rent, which is a fucking lot more than a large amount of people do not earn in a week. Let alone pay in rent!!
Any one who can support these bastard need their fucking heads looking at.
Thank god that Nigel is now back as leader of UKIP. He is one of very few who I can honestly say deserves the vote of the vast majority of the electorate. Love him or hate him, he says what a lot of us think and with luck we might get the referendum that we deserve on getting out of the EU. I, and millions of others, voted for a Common Market, not what that lying duplicitus sulking bastard Heath took us into.I hope the bastard rots in hell.

Recently announced? It was a very brief paragraph in the Labour manifesto which said they intended to put a cap on housing benefit - no when, how much, where, who, how etc. That would have to have been translated into policy detail. What we have with the Tories is actual policy detail. A cap on the maximum that is paid out at a certain figure. A reduction of 10% in housing benefit across the board if someone is on JSA for more than a year and limits on what is the maximum benefit that can be paid in relation to the market in your area.
If two parties say they are going to up income tax, both vaguely and the party that gets into power decides to introduce a 60% income tax across the board, are you saying that the other political party shouldnt criticise the government?
Surely the devil is in the detail. And if various independent bodies say that this is a badly worked out plan, which will increase homelessness and possibly the resulting gov. expenditure (they have to put people up somewhere), then it seems legitimate for other parties to criticise the Lib Dem Cons on the policy, even if they had stated they were going to put a cap on themselves.
