After this woeful performance I expect that Theo Walcott must be pleased he got left behind and not get picked for this team.
We can all hope that things pick up for the next match and we qualify for at least for the next round
If not I can see many of players taken to SA never playing for England again.

On their return England should now be picking a team of younger players if only to concentrate on getting a team together for the 2012 Olympic Games,
and then try and keep that team together for 2018.
I would have said the 2014 World Cup but has it is being played in Brazil I would not expect us to have any chance at all.

I think we should start with some pace players like Defoe and Wright-Phillips. Could try Crouch and Defoe up front. So far we've just lumbered around the field with little movement or threat. Johnson can be brilliant going forward so give him some others with pace to work with.

"I would like to see teams paid on performances & results rather than reputation."

England players are paid on results.

I don't know a lot about football but I found it quite refreshing when England zapped the ball around a fair bit in their game against USA without giving it away. At least it was something positive to build on. Last night it was back to business as usual. Pathetic. I had the misfortune to watch the Slovenia / USA match in the afternoon which was a belter and pumped me up even more for the England match. Even if USA had been granted that third goal I wonder if England would have performed any differently last night. I think that luck will have more to do with us going on to the next round than anything else.

I never knew you were an Arsenal fan. :)

Theo should have gone to the World Cup although I wasn't surprised when he was left out.
