Zep III / Song Remains The Same & In Through The Out Door were all mediocre. IMO.

I agree. Loved Zep and was into that whole music scene but prior to that ,I was into Bluebeat, then Ska and Reggae . So was always embarrassed by that track .
Great rock drummer that he was, Bonzo just couldn't play the rythyms required and it must be the worst drumming I have ever heard on a Reggae record

I bought an album from a sort of American folk singer, called Jake Holmes and one of the tracks is "Dazed and Confused".
Zeppelin actually stole this song from him and for some reason or other called it one of their own compositions. As it was probably their showstopper, with the violin bow and all, they must owe this guy millions.
Why he didnt rush to the courts over it I'll never know. He apparently just shruggs his shoulders and says that's life.
I have the album with the track on it and all the relevant copyrights and so on, so he has a watertight case. He is still alive and as far as I know ,still performing.
Strange, but Zep were often accused of plagiarism on a large scale and I always took it as jealousy of their success but now I'm not so sure.
The album in question is" The Above Ground Sound of Jake Holmes"
