ooo i didnt know we could have a 2nd choice .. was thinkingg between get carter(great minds eh) ,Bridget jones diary(of course)... and i know unusual for a girl, Reach for the sky....again,micheal caine!

I agree wholeheartedly with the choice of the Italian Job, though I wasn't that struck to Benny Hill's role. There are too many great scenes and lines to have one favourite though.

One of my favourite scenes is Noel Coward's procession of honour through the prison after news gets out that the job was successful. Trivia: his 'servant' was played by Coward's real life partner I believe.

Absolutely, war films generally have to be made no later than 1970 to work. Obviously 'A Bridge Too Far' is the exception.

But good old black & white is hard to beat.
