I hope the woman involved doesnt make a media career out of it. I saw a clip on the news this morning of her being interviewed in 2003 and she said she had forgiven him and had put it all behind her. She didnt seem the sort to try and make as much money as possible out of the fact he slept with her when she was 13, although I imagine she is being approached by all kinds of vile, sleazy "PR" people who want to represent her in order to make as much cash as possible. Didn't all this happen in Jack Nicholson's house back in 1977? Was he (Nicholson) interviewed by the Police for allowing his house to be used for such activities? I mean, how did this girl just end up in bed with Polanski? Was she there, that night, to be 'entertainment' for the men at the party? If she was, she was clearly cynically exploited by adults and they would be complicit in the whole thing.

!cool!

As I understand it the twatt skipped off abroad before he was due to be sentanced. Thaty's why there is a warrant for his arrest. Typical fucking Yanks take half a lifetime to track him down and get him nabbed by the local plod. Also, warrants don't have a sell by date do they?

Erm- Reggie...he pleaded guilty and absconded the day before sentencing. Trial complete, old mucker. Verdict reached.

I've always found the Nicholson involvement of interest.

So he must have invited a 13 yo girl to party at his house.

As you do............

She's lucky she's not in a Muslim country. Polanski would get a $20 fine, and she'd be stoned to death!

Didn't Bill Wyman bonk Mandy Smith when she was 13? Where are the pitch-fork and flaming torch brigade then?

I swear I saw this in the cinema.

Was there any reference to it at least in dialogue?

Something like that would stand out as notable. Check the BBFC site as this may be a cut or it might even be a different film but I remeber Peter Coyote being in it as I remeber him as the keys man in ET

Mind you this comes from a guy who saw the uncut versions of The Abyss with the drowning rat in breathing fluid and the icicle stabbing in the eye of Die Hard 2 which was cut before general release

PS Liz, you didnt see the pee coming out of the fanny. You just heard it slapping the carpet on impact and Peter Coyotes bemused face as you heard it against the pleasurable look on her face.

Just to bring you further up to date: the case took place in Santa Monica Superior Court on 8th August 1977. The Judge was Laurence J. Rittenband. Polanski pleaded guilty to having unlawful sex with a minor.
