Was she raped? Or did she get pregnant to avoid the death sentence?

Seriously, some of you are very quick to condemn, but not one person in this country knows the facts of this case. We simply don't know. Were the drugs planted? Did she know she was carrying them? Was she raped? We just don't know. Try and bear that in mind people.

I know she's young and probably naive, but she travelled from the UK to Ireland - and on to Amsterdam (trying to cover her tracks?), before heading off to Thailand and Laos. She's not the Mr. Big in the case, but she knew what she was doing for a bit of easy money, a free holiday, free drugs. She's probably (most definitely) of low intelligence and was manipulated, but a streetwise schemer who probably fits well into her current abode - and on advice from fellow inmates, getting pregnant was in the plan, and it appears to have worked.
Bringing her back to the UK, rehabilitating her and paying for the upkeep of her and the baby will in all probability result in her returning to a life of petty crime - and the baby in care.

Well, if she travelled to Thailand via Amsterdam she is clearly guilty as charged. Of course, some people use Amsterdam because Schipol is one of the world's major airports, but you clearly know better. I do hope you never have to do jury service, I mean, if the police say they did it, they must be guilty mustn't they?
