Some of their early stuff is excellent... To Cut A Long Story Short, The Freeze, Musclebound, Glow, Pharaoh... and one of the greatest singles of 81 Chant No.1. They went steadily downhil (commercially & artistically) after the True album in '83, by the late 80's they were a spent force.
Gary Kemp was a talented writer but I always thought he came across a bit precious

They said at the press conference yesterday that tickets had gone on sale that afternoon. I just saw an advert in the ad-break during The Bill on ITV1 which said "tickets go on sale this Friday". Maybe they were hoping for all the gigs to sell-out in 2 minutes, like what happened when Blur and a few others announced a comeback, and maybe it didn't happen, so this could be a ticket relaunch, with quickly organsied TV backing. Maybe the sales arent going too well...
