They say: "One password gets you into all our sites."
Looks like they mean: "All our sites are going to bill you after you subscribe."
Get rid of your creditcard company as soon as you can and put a complaint against them. No one has any right to bill you after you cancelled your subscription. The creditcard company should be on your side instead of telling you that by subscribing you have given permission for anyone remotely connected with this website to bill you again and again and again. This cannot be true - and it isn't true. Looks like your creditcard company is on the frauds' side instead of yours!

I just followed the signup page and I'd say your unknown billers come from the 2 boxes(which you need to untick during signing up?)below the credit cards of to be billed as client2u & web2bill
If you google these terms you'll find reports and websites where you may with your account details be able to cancel the rebilling
As diplodocus said the ombudsman is your best resort if the credit card company wont act on the fraudulent transactions.

I see the site offers one click cancellation of membership, maybe you should be a bit more agressive with them and threaten them with legal action, looks like the minimum sign up was 2 days

Given the way you wrote it K2noodles is the way I read it. I know it goes on all the time. For once I didnt assume anything but what I read.
"I paid for the content that I wanted to see and then I cancelled my subscription"
Sounds like a chargeback to me. I just know this kind of thing goes on all the time and is the bane of internet websites and yes serial offenders usually have their card detyails flagged for good reason too.
If you are one of the good guys then I apologise. If you are not then I said what I said.
How do I know you are not pandering to the sympathisers now? How do I know you are a good honest citizen?
I dont. So I'll step out and assume you are as good as you say because that is what you implied by "not liking my insults"

I confirm that you're not the first person to suffer this problem. In fact this particular site has been the subject of many complaints and I'm surprised that they are still able to take credit cards. I would have expected that their merchant account would have been withdrawn by now.
One of the things they are known for is "cross selling" - as Deuce Bigolo explained above, this means that without noticing you can sometimes sign up for sites you didn't want, simply by not noticing that you needed to uncheck certain boxes before completing your sign-up.
But the main complaint against them is the inability of subscribers to cancel their subsciptions. To avoid any possibility of this kind of problem, I only subscribe to sites that offer third party billing. In my view sites that use their own merchant account are riskier to deal with, unless they happen to be a well known name such as Penthouse or something of that kind.

Isnt there a place that people can reference a sites relaibility? maybe before subscibing to a site you should read some reviews. It might prevent things like this happening in future.

Exactly correct one eyed jack.
I looked up some reviews of that site and most people were satisfied with the content of the site but said they couldn't cancel the subscription and had to end up cancelling their credit card instead.
As you rightly say, reading some reviews before subscribing to a site can prevent the kind of unfortunate mishaps that have occurred in this case. Either that or stick to third pary billing as protection.

thanks for all the good advice.
Honestly i wasn't trying to charge back or anything like that. i am happy to pay for my subscription for the period of a month, regardless of when i joined or cancelled.
its the fact that i'm getting charged after my cancellation, by companies that I didnt even authorise and my credit card company are doing nothing to prevent this from happening again and again that is frustrating.
Also even though I was meant to have access for a month, this was stopped with my cancellation, so i actually paid for something that I didn't have full access to.
Hopefully others reading this post will be careful when joining particular american sites and the good advice from those who have posted replies will help people to avoid the problem in the 1st place and take the battle to the dodgy websites and useless credit companies.
