jonone plenty of people are competetive but when they do lose they lose with a bit of grace and dignity ie roger federer, but when did you last see fergie put his hand up and say we lost fair and square, look at the portsmouth game in the fa cup, united had umpteen chances to score and took none but all they were concerned about was the referee's performance. and no i'm not obsessed with time scales my point was that to win that many trophies in only nine years is some achievment something i think gets overlooked.

I didn't realise that one. Wellar is a moody cunt, but full marks for standing to his principals!

I take your point but there are similar examples of Wenger and Benitez lacking grace in defeat and attributing it to poor refereeing, but that doesn't excuse Ferguson or anyone else.

fergie is by no means the only one. wenger, benitez, moyes to name a few could take a look at ( and i never thought i would say this ) roy keane . got some terrible decisions this season and just got on with it. definatley one for the future and a total opposite to the player he was

True, even Avram Grant had his hand in 'trying' to be controrversial !laugh!

Look at Fergie's record though. When he arrived at O.T in 1985(i think) replacing the hapless Ron Atkinson,Man U were staring relegation in the face.Fergie was close to getting sacked himself,if it was'nt for the U turn by then Chairman Michael Knighton.

Ferguson also had an impressive record at Aberdeen, which led to him becoming manager at Man U.

I personally think he should have retired when they done the treble back in 1999,gone out on a high. The way some United 'fans' have treated him this season is a disgrace.

Ferguson is a prime example that managers who get their jobs 'on merit' (i'm hasten to add),should be given time and 100% backing by board, players and fans.

They never know what they can achieve.
