Both!

The PS3 is the better console, but online play is far superior on the Xbox 360 (although you do have to pay for it) and has a greater range of games.

I own both and think they're both great. :)

Just got a PS3.Fantastic.So I am a bit biased.GTAIV is the killer app that it needed though as other top flight games are certainly thin on the ground. However a lot of good stuff in the pipeline.

Have always been a Sony fan(have a PSP and have previously owned PS1 and then a PS2)and have Bravia Widescreen HD TV too.So a bit of a Sony whore really!love!

Oh and the beauty of X Box..(call me silly if you like) it does have a retro games section you can buy games like Pac Man and thos eold 80's games like Asteroids...yes they are all wifi and you can stream movies from your pc to your XBox and watch tem and look at pics on the tv and listen to music via streaming too so it acts as a media centre.

I held back from the 360 for so long being a PS2 user and it was Gears Of War and Lost Planet that made my mind up for me. I havent looked back since. Some great games on the 360 over the PS3.

Hey

Like OEJ I am a little biased but un like Terry I plumbed for the PS3. There was never really any contest for me. I have always had Playstations and had no intention of switching.

I LOVE my PS3 and would not change it for any thing. How ever....be warned, you will have to be a lttle patient when it comes to games available. The selection at the minute is a little sparce!! But if you pop along to some where like HMV.com and check out the coming soon section you will see that thiere are alot of fantastic titles coming out in the next few months.

Combine this with the Blueray player and the fact that Micro-shite is behind the X-box,meaning some thing will go tits up sooner or later (IMVHO) You will be better off buying a PS3. Plus first generation reports keep suggesting that the build quality is far better on the Playstaion.

Oh if you do buy any of the above....make sure you get your hands on COD 4. Play on-line and you wont give a tuppeny toss what other games are available!!

Happy Next-Gen gaming chap

I've had an xbox 360 for over two years. I've thought about a PS3 but... 1) on-line play ain't that great, 2) all the games I want are released on both machines or just 360.

I'm sure the PS3 is a great machine but I'm not bothered "as of now" for a blueray player. I believe now HD has died it's death the price of BlueRay players will drop. Even today I saw a laptop just over ?500 with blueray. I'd expect in about a years time you will be able to get a BlueRay player for around ?100.

Sony`s behind blu ray so it`ll go the way of the UMD and mini disc and flop lower than whale shit.
The only thing the PS3 has that interests me in any way is Metal gear solid and I can live with out that in exchange for having a machine that works
