Could be a torn ligament ... same thing happened to me, basically just woke up one morning with a sore foot (within 24 hours I could only hop) never banged it or twisted it ... and honest I wasn't drunk!!

I got you soo beat on this one. I was at an 80 year old womans house when she slipped outside on ice and was badly bruised and could hardly stand.
Cunts in the reception at the doctors " Can she walk down to the surgery?"
My mom laying 8 hours in what looked like a fucking supply cupboard after being rushed in with a suspected heart attack. 8 hours before she got a fucking hospital bed due to the system the hosptial trust commitee adopted.
And finally my uncle dying due to doctors in Poole leaving a needle or stent or something in his leg and him getting septisemia. He`d complained several times that something wasn`t right. Collapsed then an ambulance came for him and the hospital in Poole refused to take him, citing him as a troublemaker. He died en route to another hospital.
All three cases have one thing in common too. Its not fundning or politicans to blame, its fucking doctors. I`m voting Convervative in the hope they cut the fuck out of their wages and put the bastards back to work. I have a medical emergency I get put on the phone to some prick eighty miles away in Glasgow?? WTF use is that?

If you'd like me to perform a bit of field surgery, I can always pop round and perform an amputation.
Just let me know.

I saw Johnny Vegas on the Wossy show talking about the problems he had with this.

Given what he supposedly drinks, and (I'm guessing here) his medication for -or undiagnosed- diabetes, I'm not surprised in the slightest!
luckily my gf had some spare crutches from when she broke her legs a few years ago.
To be honest the fact she still had hers is probably why the NHS are so resistant to give them out
Exactly. I cleared out my parents loft about 2 years ago and found 3 bloody pairs of crutches up there. I've also seen people try and sell NHS crutches, and wheelchairs at fucking carboot sales! Then these same people have the audacity to complain when they next break a leg and can't get a pair!
The older I get, the more hypocrisy unveils itself at every corner.
