I agree that it's not a bright idea for UEFA to stage the final in Moscow.Chelsea FC,through Thomas Cook are charging an overnight stay in Moscow for ?799(inclusive of hotel and match ticket),a 2 night stay is going for ?1000.But there are other options cheaper options such as flying to a neighbouring Baltic nation then getting a train.Visa's though is the important factor.

Wish i was going to Moscow, but it's just too expensive and it seems they have too many laws, which i respect should be heeded, for one's own good if anything.

It's always decided early in the season, and doesn't matter where the finalists are from. I recall Liverpool in the early/mid 80s winning the European Cup against Roma in Rome.

No way UEFA will change things. The award of a final provides an economic boost to the city chosen. Don't you think Manchester would be unhappy at this stage to have the UEFA Cup final taken away from it?

It's the fans that suffer at the end of the day.

Can't see much trouble between the Chelsea and Yahnited fans, unless one goes looking for it.I have'nt seen aggro between Chelsea and Man U fans since Wembley 1994,when they gubbed us 4-0.

Though the Russian 'ultras' of CSKA Moscow could pose a problem if they decide to come and say hello.
