What a cheap date you are Sandie.
A Wimpy Kingsize and litre bottle of Asda cider a couple of straws and ding dong.
You truly are the queen of porn.

Used to go to the Wimpey in Sheffield city centre (Fargate) often for "birthday treats" back in the '70s.

Always served up great nosh.

I can never understand why McDonald's has attained the global market position it enjoys - I can only put it down to good marketing, because the food is for the most part tasteless cardboard crap, and always has been (Burger King is far superior)

I like wimpey, lucky enough to have just up the road in Southgate.
I remember when going for Wimpey really was treat(mid 70's i'm talking here)
They dropped a bollock getting rid of the lime flavoured thick shake though :)

Remember as a youngster heading off to Sheffield with the parents and nagging then from 10.00 onwards that we were hungry and wanted Wimpey for dinner!!!!

I have just found out that theres one 6 miles away from the office in Doncaster - thanks Crofter!!!

My dad used to take me once a month to the Wimpey in Hertford, it's now a betting shop!!tears!

I now have to wait until I go to Clacton with the kids to my mums caravan to get my special sauce on my chips and my favourite brown derby!

Hey

There was a Wimpy in my home town before I was born. By the time my Gran used to take me there of a Saturday morning it was a privatly owned cafe but it still had all the Wimpy pictures up on the walls.

I remember so well sitting there wondering just what the heck a "Brown Derby" was!! The place did still do Knicker-bocker glories, which me Gran used to treat me too. They never looked a patch on the pictures of the Wimpy ones when they arrived mind!!

When I was a few years older my Gran used to take me to Nottingham during the summer hols and one day we stumbled upon a real Wimpy in the "Vicky Centre" We both gorged our selves on burgers and ice cream....it was fab!!

The one in the Victoria centre has long since closed and the one in the local bowling alley recently packed up as well. I was convinced they were no more. Glad to hear they are still going....they will always be linked to memorys of me Gran!!
