I can't believe you're blaming everything solely on the Americans. Without their money you wouldn't have got Torres. Rafa spent nearly as much as Man Utd in the closed season and he demanded more. It was Rafa who tried to play the 'big man' and spread rumours throughout the press to his advantage.

I think the Americans have seen the dollar slide against the pound since buying and it's costing them more money than they anticipated, but the troubles with Rafa have been brought on by Rafa himself. He's had the squad for 4 years now and there's still only Torres and Gerrard that would get into the Man Utd or Arsenal teams. Gerrard was already there when he arrived, and Torres was purchased by the Americans' money.

Who has Rafa brought in in the 3 years before Hicks/Gillet came?

Liverpool will be lucky to qualify for the Champions League next season.Typical scousers blaming all and sundry but never looking at the bigger picture why they're so poor this season.Fair enough, they beat a Turk side 8-0 and Luton 5-1 but it means nothing if they don't win anything at the end of it.

Liverpool still have to play Chelsea,Arsenal and Man U,all games away.It is going to get worse for the scousers.

Reality time comes to Scouseland. There are 3 teams in the P L who will now finish above you every season. 4th place is what you can aim for. Unless DIC come to the rescue you are not going to win the league in the next 20 years or so. Face facts, like remould tyres your good years are behind you! And no doubt you will bore the shit out of the rest of us telling it over and over again.............

It'll add further insult to injury should Everton nick 4th place off them come May !laugh!.But let's hope they(Liverpool) don't win the European Cup,or we definetley won't hear the end of it !whistle!

I for one won't be moaning if Everton beat Chelsea tomorrow and book their place at Wembley.

Can I also add that after years of slagging off the mancs about American ownership, you were dying for American owners to take over the club anyway. 'These Americans were different to the Glaziers' apparently.

Now you've been shouting about the mancs going to Saudi Arabia and taking the piss....and yet lots of Liverpool fans are looking toward Saudis to get you out of the mess your in now.

A whole vat of irony for you there!

On a serious note, I hope you get it all sorted. I want to see you in the Champions League next year.

>i'm afraid players like benayoun, arbeloa, aurelio, kuyt are too average and are players who the likes of villa, spurs, city, and everton would sign.

It is not just about having the players, it is about getting the best out of them.

As Sam Slater said in his first append, THEY NEARLY LOST TO VILLA.

But look at the Villa team they nearly lost to, how many would you consider good enough to get in the Liverpool team?

They had their reserve goalie (Carson was not allowed to play), Gareth Barry was suspended, and Villa have the smallest squad in the premier league.

O'Neil has proved what a great manager he is, getting this squad of players into a European spot, and only 2 points from Everton, who are in a Champions league spot.

If Benitez could get his players performing as well as O'Neil has done they could be challenging for the Premiership.

Chelsea are in a bit of form and are definitely still in with a chance of the Premiership. Anelka's a good signing and all those years at Bolton will hold him in good stead for your style of play !oops!

I think Young and Agbonlahor would get in the Liverpool side.

Young is better than Kewell on the left, and Agbonlahor is better than Kuyt & Voronin. I think Barry would get in in front of Sissoko as well, and maybe even Alonso.

You're right though: Rafa's not getting the best out of them. Maybe they get too much rest?

We're(Chelsea) only in it still Sam because they still have to play Arsenal and Man U at home as well as Liverpool.4pts is easily clawed back but i'll settle for 2nd place this season and make a proper fist of it next season.

Can't wait for the African Nations to end or for Ghana and Ivory Coast to get ko'd early !thumbsup!

Man U have no one at the African Nations
Racists !laugh!Sam Slater wrote:
