Most genuinely amusing chant for me was when David Ginola played for Spurs and United came to The Lane. The entire ground sang:

"Posh Spice is a slapper
She wears a Wonderbra
And when she's fucking Beckham
She thinks of Ginola!"

Gino gave us all a double thumbs-up. The other bloke was clearly unamused.

I had to smile last weekend when we played Villa. When we were 4-1 down, they started singing 'Happy Birthday to you' (it was our 125th anniversary). Still, not too many Brummies singing at the end when we'd made it 4-4, and we started chanting: '4-1 and you fucked it up!' Nothing like a bit of repartee roared by 30,000 people.

did anyone see spurs vs villa the other night i have to be honest villa fans were great although im not a villa fan, when they were 4-1 up they started singing " Happy Birthday to you" as it was spurs 125 anniversary but to sing happy birthday was pure genius. As a lifelong Spurs' fan, WHam are the most racist and violent fans I've encountered over the years. The hissing for the gas chambers that used to regularly greet us at Arse, before they went upmarket, is nothing compared to the anti-Semitic and anti-Black abuse from sections of the WHam crowd. I'm not thin-skinned and I accept that chants are close to the knuckle, but there should be no place for racial abuse dressed up as banter.

It's the 'fucking Jew' that gets me, as if 'Jew' were an insult.

Tottenham have always been the laughing stock of the nation and that`ll never change.

Ive black and asian friends that often attend upton park regularly and they have never complained of any racist abuse, west hams a family club hence very set in its ways in terms of the fact that most of its followers are white englishmen born and bred!!

But are we too all be tarnished as racists because a couple of fans feel its right to make fun of someone because they are a muslim or a jew??
