Bear in mind these are a minority. Mostly male, young, and presumably wanting a return to the good old days when they could treat women worse than animals. Picking on ordinary Muslims is like blaming all Irish people for IRA atrocities.

Let's just keep pissing them off by living our own lives and doing our best to ignore their perverted interpretation of scripture.

Very sad, almost unbelievable. The schools just finished for holidays yesterday, and when everyone is raring to go on holiday....... this.

Thank God that the incident looks to have backfired and has been largely botched. There has been a lot of luck involved in the Glasgow and London cases, here's hoping the luck continues.

Another cretinous act of cowardice.

Why are there no live pictures from the BBC, are they not allowed to broadcast?

There's a 200-metre exclusion zone around the airport. Looks like ITN got what video footage was available. The Beeb had to make do with stills.

Thank goodness no one was hurt.

Carac,

While your right in that the majority of Muslims don't go around bombing things, having lived in a Muslim neighbourhood for around 24 years, I think a good majority are responsible for at least making fundamentalism easier.

It's well known that these extremists go around the country, scouting out young, naive recruits in Mosques. Surely the majority know what's going on and turn a blind eye?

If I wanted to recruit 25 youths for my own evil plans, I'm sure I couldn't organise such a thing without attracting enough unwanted attention, whereby someone grassed me up?

I believe the moderate Muslims could make life difficult for the extremists if they chose to do so, which leaves the question: 'Do the majority want to stop this terror threat, or do a lot of moderates hide their inner beliefs so as not to attract attention?'

There are people within the left leaning media who almost want to make excuses for the people who perperating these crime. The usual excuse is Iraq. But who exactly are causing the misery in Iraq? It's their fanatical muslim brothers they say they are trying to save. It drives me mad that this all began after 9/11 Not after we went into Iraq. Grrrrrrrr!
