Thank fuck I don't live in the Sarf. A packet of good old Walkers is about 35p oop North. Mayday Bank Holiday I paid ?2 for 2 x 99 cones of Ice Cream and it was lovely. A pint of lager in my Golf Club is still ?1.80 and I can get a pint in town for ?2-10 or ?2-50 for Krone/Stella/Guinness........

Nearly fell off my chair reading this thread.The last time I bought a packet of crisps it cost me 7p.
No wonder I cant afford to eat out anymore.
Let them eat Wotsits as someone famous once said.

Yesterday I bought a 6 multi pack of 'McCoys' crisps for a quid at Farmfoods!!!
That's:
2 Salt 'n' Vinegar
2 Cheese 'n' Onion
2 Plain Salt
All that for one quid!!

Yes, Farm Foods has gone on from a 'must have neccesity' shop on a grotty council estate to a respected High Street shop selling branded products at excellent prices.

I don't mind admitting that I buy most of my food from Farmfoods. Not fruit and veg though as they don't sell them.
