rock chick with a piano?? thought youd get some crazy shaped electric guitar!

i play a few, im looking for a band at the moment as mine broke up few months back after 10yrs :-(

my main piece of kit it a 9 piece pearl elx, 4x ziljian a custom crashes, 1x zildjian k crash, z custom ride and an a custom splash, all coming off a gibralar rack.

i also have a home made electric drum kit and a few guitars: an epiphone les paul, strat copy custom painted, ovation semi acoustic, fender acoustic 12 string, fender style bass and a technics electric piano.

if you know of a band looking for a drummer please let me know!! i have many years experience, played more gigs than you can shake a stick at. 4000 people has been the biggest crowd. i have shared the blling with Paul Young, Boney M, Richard Thompson (fairport convention) and unfortunately taken off a support slot with girls aloud because we played our own instruments!!! For Fek Sake!!

if you get two minutes check my old band out www.hudson10.org or www.myspace.com/hudson10.

sorry to go on! hope to hear from you drummerless bands soon!!

x

Playing the church organ is indeed an art as opposed to piano playing in so much as the keys need to be sustained when pressed whereas piano keys are released almost immediatley they are played.
Was it a traditional organ with the huge pipes or a modern one with a pa like most modern churches seem to have?

alot of the deathmetal stuff you listen to has keys in it, dimmu borgir, fear factory and cradle of filth etc and the hair rock/sleaze rock scene is full of keyboards

if you need a drummer for anything give us a buzz and if youu need any one to check your fingering your chords ok im always here ;-)

Is 'hair rock/sleaze rock' a legitimate genre ? !grin! If I go into my local record store and ask to be directed to the 'hair rock' cds will I get a meaningful response or mute incomprehension ?

they will probly look at you funny, best to ask for 'cock rock' they'l know exactly what you mean !wink!

sleaze rock is the motley crue, poison stuff- guitar versions of this rnb thing thats going round ie girls are all fantastic but only to look at and poke and drugs are cool and getting waisted is ideal etc

hair rock is anything that involves back combing, hair spray, eye line, tight trousers, converse all stars and bandanas or bangles!

hope this helps x

It helps inasmuch as i'm clearer about the genres. Hanoi Rocks would typify 'hair rock' then.
'Cock rock' has no pretensions to gravitas or high mindedness .. it has it's place though surely? If you incorporated 'Feel Like Makin' Love' by Bad Company into foreplay i'd like to think most ladies would be appreciative !grin!
