I had the 128k did anybody else find it as hard to programme as me ? 3hrs of typing in the program out of some speccy mag then having to go through and correct it. I had daley thompson super sports, waggle the joystick like a maniac give yourself RSI and replace your joystick every other day. Dont bin an old machine some retro machines are very collectable and sell well on ebay. I saw a sam coupe go for over a hundred quid.

Great Machine, so many fond memories.
In an age of highly advanced technology, and 'virtual' experiences with PS3 et al, a reminder of how gaming used to be is always welcome.
The Capcom, Midway, Megadrive collections on PSP are great.
Robotron, Gauntlet, Joust, proper twitch reflex gaming.
The premise then is what gaming was all about: the HIGH SCORE.
It made gaming competitive, and was a battle of not just your own standards and bettering them, but pitting your best against other people.
Magical times. I'm a bit of a hardcore gamer at heart, not got enough time for games these days, tho!!
PES 6 on PS2 is awesome, the Grand Theft Auto games are amazing gaming sandboxes. A good FPS or RPG is golden. Old-school shooters like Gradius 5 and R-Type Final are killer apps on next gen too. Rez......... sensory bliss.
I'm looking for a game that had the same wow factor that Resident Evil on PS1 or Zelda: A Link To The Past on SNES had. I've not got into Res Evil 4 yet.
Lumines on PSP is my commuting passion just now.
But........ Speccy, halcyon days. Manic Miner and Jet Set Willy with their infuriating collision detection. Bruce Lee and completing it on one life. Treasure Island Dizzy. Amazing ports of Chase HQ, Bubble Bobble and R-Type. Taaaaaaarget Reeeeenegade. Space Invaders at the age of 4. Jet Pac, Trans-Am and Horace And The Spiders on cartridge, major technology for speccy back then, no loading times!!! Bloody Hell, Chuckie Egg using keys..... like riding a bike.
!tears! Nostalgia.

Aw there was nothing like waiting for wait seemed like hours for the game to load and then nothing. Piracy protection was a random word from the instruction manual or with Elite a damn stupid piece of glass you were supposed to see some number when you looked through it at the screen
