Screw them Olympics! Spend the money on the other stuff you mentioned!
All religious buildings should be turned into museums and opened to the public so that future generations could see the insane mumbo jumbo and superstitious rites practised in days of yore by the religiously insane.
All further building of religious places for the of worship of gods should be banned on the grounds that they encourage divisiveness and superstition that ultimately leads to conflict.
