To right Nando a man of sense, this post was not about the morals of smoking, 'smoke' dont 'smoke' I dont care a fuck, It just angers me a lot when some old geezer never done anything wrong in his life cant understand why he can no longer go to the village pub as he has been doing for donkeys years and have a fag with his pint, as I said smoking is not really the issue, the issue is we are living in a new labour dictatorship. The strange thing is, you can go and get bladdered, abuse loads of people, get in your car and potentially kill someone and generally behave like a cunt, and thats fine by this government, but a pensioner who likes a smoke with his drink....now becomes a criminal. New Labour, Complete fuckwits, warmongers, and moral cowards. dont get me started on Tessa Jowel and her gambling laws........

I know what you meant, nobody smokes in my face or they get asked not to, and if they dont they might get punched, and yes I would object to you farting in my face, youd loose yer teeth. I,m not sure about dying from human methane, I suppose it is possible to die from it in the right quantity.

er, thats my whole point, people do all the time, it,s easier to get run down by a drunk driver than a sober smoker, dont you think?

As far as im aware no one in the UK is forced to work anywhere.

What about the young mother with the pram and the shopping having to push her way past a bunch of drunk men who take up nearly the whole pavement ?.

Of course not all speeding/dangerous drivers are drunk. I suppose what it comes down to is this. I hate an evening in the pub ending with me reeking of smoke, and with a sore throat. And as I've said elsewhere on this topic, what about the staff? My son DJs at our local. He doesn't smoke but both he and his kit smell after his sessions there on a friday night, never mind the danger to his health. Roll on july.

I agree that there should be a ban on smoking in public. Why then don't we have a ban on drinking in public? Alcohol is at least on the same level of danger to public and personal health. Also, crap food should be banned in public.
