Or imagine the the victims famliy and friends having to live with their life sentence knowing that theperson responsible is still alive and well and will return to a "normal life" at sometime in the future.
Sometimes we shouldnt be ashamed to admit that vengence is/should be part of the justice system.

Yea.. but Warren what about noosing people where the evidence is overwhelming as it is often? What about if it was your loved ones that had been tortured and had their life cruelly ended...I dont think theres a Home Secretary that would sign a death warrant if the evidence was not clear
Re: life for lawyer murderes
Yes i could, admitteldly at the time i would be hanging a guilty person so i wouldnt know of their innocence.
It may sound callous but if comes down to a numbers game of 1 in 1000 being innocent that still means youre removing 999 scumbags and as forensic and investagion methods have improved and will continue to improve that percentage will continue to improve.
As i said earlier less money spent on keeping them alive could be put into policing.

totally agree ! with the advances in technology in forensic science i believe there is far less chance of a wrongful execution.
i also believe we should follow the American system of murder 1 and murder 2 and life without parole and 25 years to life.
if there is sufficient doubt in the jury's mind they would acquit of murder 1 and thus take the death penalty out of the equation. this being a safeguard against wrongfully executing someone. but a unanimous verdict of guilty to murder 1 should be punishable with the death penalty. i would use lethal injection.

Re: life for lawyer murderes
I'd vouch for hanging as lethal injection seems to humane and i wouldnt have a problem with it being filmed and shown amongst the prison population just to show what the state is willing to do if they keep offending.
Re: life for lawyer murderes
forgot to add that of course i'd have them organ stripped for kidneys etc.. so they would be able to help others who they had any concern for in life.

You Tube has some great executions of Nazi scum..put execution in the search line. Most are of gallows but one from Austria has a cop pull someone hard off a perch..great to see their faces up close just before they trouble decent people no more...
