i take medication for depression, but that is because of physical pain that i suffer from that gets to me and causes my mood swings and occasional panic attacks. being unable to work and being stuck at home most of the time is another cause of my depression i think, but it's a day to day issue, as depression mostly is, fluctuation of mood/self worth is the main issue with depression.

As for the subject of mental illness, I reckon it touches everyone at some point of our lives. You can't be healthy 100% of the time - physically, mentally or spiritually.

Depression is called the 'common cold of psychiatry' these days- any given person will get it at some point in their lives.
